1. Michter’s Fort Nelson Distillery (Closed Mon) (11) - See the pot stills from the original Michter’s Pennsylvania Distillery, which traces its history back to 1753. Test your senses in the lab, ask about the self-fill bottle station, and head upstairs for something delicious. The Bar at Fort Nelson features classic cocktails curated by cocktail historian and author David Wondrich as well as modern creations by Bar Manager Carrie Casler and Bartenders David Tuney and Aron Queen.

2. Old Forester Distilling Co. (Closed Mon) (12)- The Old Forester Distilling Co. is four floors of Bourbon education like you’ve never seen before. You will see barrels being assembled and charred (hence the shades) in their on-site cooperage and end your tour in their state of the art cocktail lounge, George’s Bar. If visiting on Fridays and Saturdays, have your camera ready as the Old Forester Whisky Drummer drums up business on Whiskey Row! Watch as the barrels built and filled in the cooperage are rolled out onto Main Street and into their vintage-style barrel truck.

3. Bulleit Distilling Co. (Wed-Sun) (3) ($25+, 1-1.5hr)- Built in 2017 and open to visitors in 2019, Bulleit Distilling Co. leads the industry with its state-of-the-art technology and offers a portfolio distilled and aged in the Bulleit family tradition, using a distinctive high rye recipe, which gives them a bold, spicy taste. Experience the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of the Bulleit portfolio through our interactive tasting experience. And get to know the cultural creators, entrepreneurs, and tastemakers that helped revive Augustus Bulleit’s high-rye whiskey and create the bold, beloved Bulleit Frontier Whiskey of today.

4. Woodford Reserve Distillery (7 Days) ($32) (18)- As Kentucky’s oldest and smallest distillery, Woodford Reserve® is a National Historic Landmark and lies quietly tucked on the same hallowed grounds where Elijah Pepper began crafting whiskey in 1812. Featuring one of the only heat-cycled barrelhouses in the world, Woodford Reserve® is the only Bourbon made in copper pot stills with a triple distillation process.

5. Wild Turkey Distillery (17)- Dubbed the “Buddha of Bourbon” by his industry peers, Hall of Fame Master Distiller Jimmy Russell has been making whiskey at the Wild Turkey Distillery for an astounding 64 years and is the longest-tenured, active spirits Master Distiller in the world. With more than 36 years of experience, Hall of Fame Master Distiller Eddie Russell also knows a thing or two about Bourbon. As son of legendary Master Distiller Jimmy Russell, and the third generation Russell to work at the Wild Turkey Distillery, Eddie is of an unmatched pedigree in the Bourbon industry. Like his father, Eddie is involved through the entire distillation and aging process of Wild Turkey Bourbon, ensuring every bottle meets the exacting whiskey standards set forth by their predecessors.

6. James B. Beam Distilling Co. (Closed Tue) ($53) ((8) - The James B. Beam Distilling Co. homestead welcomes everyone to the family home of American Whiskey, where all our celebrated bourbons can be found under one roof. An all-new experience, but the same famous Beam hospitality. We’ve met a lot of people in our two hundred years, but there’s always room for more. Come make a day of it in Clermont.

7. Maker's Mark ($42) (10) - Generations of the Samuels family distillers have carried forth a recipe from prohibition to become one of the most beloved Bourbon brands in the world. The red wax on the bottles is every bit as recognizable as the Maker’s Mark® name. Every bottle is still hand-dipped today, and when you visit the distillery, you can dip your own.
